St Andrew's

St Andrews is a medieval church, dating from the 13th century. It is the only church in Norwich with a thatched roof, but it is quite small - it seats about 80 people -so in 1993 the parish added a large new worship centre, built in a modern, spacious style. Now St Andrew's seats about 300 people, and we are able to accommodate worship to suit all tastes.

Sunday Worship at St Andrew's:

bullet 8 a.m.- Traditional service of Holy Communion, using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, in the old part of the building. This is a half-hour service, with no sermon or music.
bullet 10 a.m. - Family Communion takes place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays using the Book of Common Worship. The service has both music and a sermon. The 2nd Sunday is a Family Service and the 4th Sunday a ' Service  of the the Word'. When there is a 5th Sunday in month the service is combined with Christ Church and is Family Communion. The venue alternates between the two churches.
bullet 6.30 p.m. on the 3rd Sunday - Evening Worship.

Children's Activities:

bullet Sunday Club, for youngsters aged 3-11 years, meets every Sunday at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew's church hall, except for the Family Service when all meet in church.
