We are a lively and friendly congregation, going through exciting times of change together under the leadership of our new vicar, Phil Rodd, who joined us in May 2008. The worship is
relaxed, and people from different church traditions join us for worship. Our old building is a medieval church, dating from the 13th century. It's the only church in Norwich with a thatched roof. It's beautiful with a very intimate atmosphere. For most services, however, we use the new church extension - a lovely open and airy space, which seats around 220 people. The contrast between these settings frees us in our aim to accommodate worship to suit a wide variety of tastes. |
Sunday Worship at St Andrew's:

8 a.m. - Traditional service of Holy Communion, using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, in the beautiful calm atmosphere of our old building. This is a 45 minute service, with a short sermon but with no music. |

10 a.m. - Family Communion takes place on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month making creative use of the modern Common Worship service resources. There is preaching from the Bible, and the music is led by organ, piano and our flexible choir! The second Sunday is a Family Service and the fourth Sunday a Service of the Word. |

6.30 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month - an informal evening service, with contemporary worship music usually led by a small band, lively Bible-based teaching, time for prayer and time to listen to God. |
Children's Activities:
|

Our Sunday School groups, for children and young people aged 3-14 years, meet every Sunday during term time. The children and young people all start in church and then move to activities in St Andrew's church hall, next door to the church, except when there is a Family Service (on the second Sunday of the month) when all worship together in church. |
